The Annapolis Valley is not only rich in farmland. Situated between two small mountain ranges, it has national and provincial parks, an abundance of lakes, rivers and forests, and more than 30 beaches. The Valley boasts some of the best climatic conditions in eastern Canada and is located in the Annapolis Valley and along the shores of the Bay of Fundy and Minas Basin, renowned for the world’s highest tides. Our natural assets also include rich farmland, a climate suited to growing a wide variety of crops, and a shoreline along the Bay of Fundy, which is a natural tourist attraction as well as a test-bed for in-stream tidal energy development powered by the highest tides in the world.
