The Annapolis Valley is the bread basket – and the fruit basket – for Nova Scotia, supplying commodities for local and export markets and value-added food products, including wine, spirits and craft beer.

The Valley boasts some of the best climatic conditions in eastern Canada.  The region is recognized as the breadbasket of the province, with more than 1,000 farms producing a broad range of fresh and value added products.  Eleven globally recognized vineyards with 20 varieties of wine, and several microbreweries are part of the growing agri-tourism sector.  Winery tours, community farmers markets and more than 25 u-picks regularly attract visitors to the region.
